Every Cuddle is Special
We celebrate Cotton in all its fascinating forms.
Presented here is a bouquet of cotton fabrics, split into warm, cool and all-weather materials.
WARM WEATHER
CRINKLE
Crinkle cotton fabric is created by using highly twisted weft yarns. The tightly twisted threads contract pulling the weave into irregular but parallel pleats. These permanent pleats create a puckered texture and a soft wrinkled look. Crinkle cotton fabrics are much sought after for their soft feel and superior breathability, making them perfect for warm weather.
Key features:
- Lightweight construction.
- Highly breathable fabric – ideal for warm weather.
- Easy to clean and maintain.
DOBBY
With a high thread count and tight weave, Dobby is a strong fabric. It is woven on the special dobby loom which allows weavers to create intricate patterns and designs by controlling the warp and weft threads with small dobby bars. Complex patterns require a higher number of dobby bars. Repeated geometric patterns that create a raised or embossed texture are the hallmarks of the dobby fabric. This unique weave gives a luxurious tactile satisfaction and is highly prized. Silk dobby, Cotton dobby, wool dobby and linen dobby are some of the types of dobby fabrics. Cotton dobby is by far most popular, due to its lightweight breathability and versatility.

COTTON & LINEN BLEND
Pure linen is a plant-based fabric which is derived from the stem fibers of flax plants. The production of pure linen is labor and time intensive, which makes it an expensive fabric. Pure linen apparel is made from sheeting linen, which has a soft surface and close weave but unfortunately creases easily.
Our Cotton Linen blended material has been specially created to combine the softness of cotton and the quick-drying capabilities of linen. A perfect fabric for all warm weather outings.
Key features:
- Lack of moisture retention - dries quickly.
- Highly breathable fabric – ideal for warm weather.
- Easy to clean and maintain.
SLUB JERSEY
A product of accidental invention, slub jersey was initially considered a mistake due to its lumpy, irregular weave. Today those same lumps and bumps are intentionally created by twisting the yarn before weaving. The result is a highly sought after textured fabric that is breathable, lightweight, and incredibly soft. 100% organic cotton slub jersey’s special construction provides natural elasticity to the fabric, enabling it to easily match every yoga move of your little one.
Key features:
- Lightweight fabric construction.
- Breathable cool
- Soft to touch.
- Ideal for warmer weather.
- Easy to clean and maintain.
CAMBRIC
Originally made in Cambrai, France, Cambric fabric is a closely woven fabric. It is generally woven with short, twisted cotton or linen fibers which are unbleached and undyed.
Due to the tight weaving, the fabric has an even texture. The fabric then passes through heated rollers, which lend a stiff and glossy sheen to it. This process called calendering, is unique to the Cambric fabric manufacturing process. Used as garments during summer and as lining under thicker winter garments.
Key Features:
- Lightweight fabric construction.
- Glossy finish.
- Breathable cool.
- Ideal for warmer weather.
- Easy to clean and maintain.

INTERLOCK
Created using two rows of needles, Interlock cotton comprises of two layers that are identical front and back and cannot be separated as they are “inter-locked”. You can tell this fabric apart from the rows of little “V” shapes. This double-knit construction makes the fabric a little thick and allows the fabric to have a built-in stretch. Plain interlock material will look the same on both sides.
Key features:
- Slightly thicker fabric construction.
- Built in elasticity and moisture absorption.
- Breathable cool.
- All weather soft-to-touch fabric

This diagonal pattern has become the hallmark of the twill fabric. The result is a sturdy and durable high thread count fabric that has a structured feel and a ribbed texture. Twill pattern can be woven using different fibers, however the most common are cotton, polyester and wool. Cotton twill fabric is typically used for making pants and trousers which can be worn throughout the year. Denim is the most popular type of twill fabric.
